Verit Advisors® will be attending the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO) Employee Ownership Conference April 25-27, 2023 in Kansas City. This annual conference is the premier gathering for employee ownership. Verit Advisors will be joined by Mary Josephs, John Solimine and Jake Cravens.

On Tuesday, April 25th at 11:15 am, Managing Director John Solimin will lead a discussion entitled “Financing New and Existing ESOP Companies.” Joining John on the panel are PNC’s Ginny Salume and Bank of America’s Jason W. Miller. This presentation provides an overview of the current credit markets and the outlook for the senior bank, non-bank and mezzanine debt markets in the coming months, especially given the new interest rate environment. Panelists help attendees understand key considerations for underwriting new and existing ESOPs. John has over 20 years of experience in investment banking and fixed income capital markets. He began his career at LaSalle Bank (Bank of America), providing debt financing to sponsors and investee companies in the middle market. He gained investment banking experience at Bear Stearns and Jefferies & Company in New York. He then joined Equibase Capital, a private equity firm in Chicago.

Founder and CEO Mary Josephs will present a panel discussion titled “A Conversation on Costs and Suitability of Partnering with Transaction Advisor.” Held on Wednesday, April 26 at 9:45 a.m., this session will explore and explain the services and their pros and cons that could help companies move forward with her ESOP deals. The discussion also includes process, scope and fees. Joining Mary is her Kevin P. Long of the Employee Benefits Law Group. Mary founded Verit Advisors in 2009 and has nearly 30 years of experience in corporate finance. She is a nationally recognized leader and has advised on the closing of over 300 financings for mid-market companies. Mr. Josephs has served on the board of the NCEO for the past two terms.

Also on Wednesday, April 26th at 1:30, Managing Director Jake Cravens will host a panel discussion titled “Trust the Process: Getting Financing for a Leveraged ESOP Transaction.” Douglas Dell of Key Bank joins Jake. This session is a dialogue between financial advisors and banks on what it takes to be successful for both your business and your bank, including strategies for success and potential pitfalls. I will explain. Jake joined Verit Advisors in 2015 and has led the execution of a wide range of transaction, restructuring and advisory services, including M&A, ESOP and strategic alternative consulting. Jake specializes in evaluating companies and building complex ESOP transactions.
