Playing in the first college postseason event at the Southern Hills Plantation Club, Svedenskiold hit four birdies in the final round to mark 70 on the par-72 course for 6,289 yards.
The Halmstad, Sweden native started the tournament with a score of 70-68 in the first two days.
In her impressive performance, Svedenskiold tied Houston’s record for a total of 54 holes in the American Championship. She equaled the mark set by All-American Leonie Her Harm on the conservatory course at Hammock Beach Resort & Golf Club in the 2019 tournament.
Svedenskjöld, who started at No. 1, hit a birdie on the 342-yard, par-3 second hole and added another birdie on the eighth hole.
After bogeying at the 11th, she quickly recovered with another birdie on the par-5 12th Added the final birdie of the tournament on the par-5 16th hole.th hole.
Junior Nicole Abeller With 217 points he joins the top 15 leader Svedenskiold in a 14-point drawth. Super Senior Annie Kim tied at 17th with a score of 218 after shooting 72 Wednesday as a freshman Alexa Saldana tied at 21st at 219. freshman Natalie St. Germaine tied at 30th at 224.
#26 SMU won the team championship with 839 points, beating #19 UCF by 14 shots. #37 Tulsa with 859 he finished third and South Florida (864) completed the top 5 leaders.
SMU’s Michell Zhang took medalist honors with 201 points. UCF’s Jess Baker was his third with her 210 points, and South Florida’s Melanie Green was her fifth with her 211 points. Lauren Miller (SMU) and Anna Nordfors (212) tied for her for fifth with her 212 points.

Following the American Athletic Conference Championship, the Cougars are looking to qualify for NCAA Regional Play.
The Cougars learn their NCAA postseason fate on The NCAA Selection Show, which airs Wednesday, April 26 at noon on The Golf Channel.
The NCAA Regionals will be held May 8-10 in six locations across the country. These locations include the University of Georgia Golf Course (Athens, Georgia). PGA National Resort (Palm Beach Gardens, FL); Palouse Ridge Golf Club (Pullman, WA); Ronnie Poole Golf Course (Raleigh, NC); TPC San Antonio (San Antonio, TX) and The Club at Chatham Hills (West Indiana) field).
Each NCAA Regional Site will feature 12 teams and 6 individuals. The top four teams and the top two student-athletes (not promotion teams) will qualify for the NCAA Championship May 19-24 at the Greyhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.
