Eleven Bay Area Women Win 2023 San Francisco Women in Finance Scholarships

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., May 16, 2023 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Financial Women of San Francisco (FWSF), an organization dedicated to advancing the careers of women for more than 60 years, has announced that 11 students from Bay Area colleges Nominated 2023 Scholarship Recipients for Membership. The FWSF has awarded her more than $3 million in scholarships to more than 325 Bay Area women over the past 35 years.

“We are very proud of this year’s scholarship winners,” said FWSF 2023 President Dennis Liguri. “These talented women come from a wide variety of backgrounds and demonstrate remarkable resilience and determination in their efforts to pursue their financial and accounting educational goals. and thank you to our supporters.”

FWSF scholarships ($10,000 for undergraduates and $15,000 for graduate students) support each recipient’s educational goals. In addition to financial support, FWSF scholarship recipients also have the opportunity to receive mentorship from FWSF members and participate in career development and networking events.

Each recipient is an academic and community leader whose goals align with the FWSF’s mission to empower and support women in finance. They have founded non-profit organizations, led college clubs and organizations, and served on their boards. In addition to their willingness to excel in the financial field, they uplift, inspire and help others, especially women and minorities, by mentoring, volunteering and supporting their colleagues and communities. We share that passion.
