Eaton maker Henny Penny sets retirement date for 2024

“I have been in the foodservice industry for over 45 years and the preparations to leave Henny Penny, our customers and partners are bittersweet,” Maggard said in a statement.

Maggard became president of the company in 2020, becoming the sixth president in the company’s 66-year history. The company, which makes equipment for the restaurant and foodservice industry, plans to unveil a successor to the Magard this spring.

During Maggard’s tenure, the employee-owned company grew revenue 49% from $265M to $395M and employment increased 54% from 758 employees to 1,165 .

The company also expanded its executive team to include a Chief Operating Officer, Chief People Officer, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Customer Experience Officer.

Maggard joined Henny Penny in 1978 as a production assembler. He has held marketing, training, sales, and operations roles.

In 2017, McGard served as vice president, before becoming president in 2020.
