PHILIPPI, West Virginia (LOOTPRESS) – Chief Jeff Walters of the Philippi Police Department will soon retire after 28 years of law enforcement and community service.
The Barbour County Sheriff’s Department warmly congratulates Chief Walters on his impending retirement and joined the celebration of his remarkable career.
Walters may bid farewell to his current post, but his resignation does not mean the end of his law enforcement journey. The Barber County Sheriff’s Department has announced that Chief Walters has joined Philip Barber High School as its new Prevention Resources Officer (PRO).
In anticipation of a seamless collaboration, the Barbour County Sheriff’s Department looks forward to working closely with the new administration of the Barbour County Board of Education. They expressed confidence in fostering a strong and productive working relationship similar to their relationship with former superintendent Jeff Woofter.
As part of this transition, Walters will attend professional training at Wheeling later this month.
